Yesterday we went shopping at 5 below. While I was browsing one of the aisles, and it's vast collection of items, my eyes fell upon a small rectangular cardboard box. I then stood on the tops of my toes and saw it. It was a basket of balls. Mostly yellow ones. There was also one black and pink one. But I scarcely saw them. I only had eyes for one ball. This ball was perfect! It was half blue, but the blueish greenish sort of way. The other half was a bright springy yellow. The ball smelled amazing! It smelled of a spring breeze blowing past the top of a mountain. But that was far from the best part! The ball was soft as silk and seemed to nestle in my palms. Then I dropped it. It fell down on the ground making an oddly satisfying sound. Then it bounced up right into my hands! At that moment I knew that I was going to get that ball. Megan: I enjoyed doing the activities when I was in the gifted program myself elementary school. I also liked coming up with enrichment ideas for my students when I taught second grade. And I had a lot of fun substituting teaching in gifted classrooms. So when Mrs. Leftwich asked me if I wanted to teach gifted kids with her, I was excited at the possibility. It seemed like my dream job. I had to take college courses anyway to renew my teaching license. I recently got a sweet little guy name Jack! He is a 2 year old American guinea pig. He is the cutest little guy that ever lived! He is white with brown spots as you will see in the pictures! We got him from an animal shelter called Melissas Second Chances or something like that. Even though he is really shy, (As most Guinea pigs are,) he has made tons of progress he is pretty much potty trained and is comfortable with us. He wheeks and squeaks when plastic is rustled and begs when he hears the refrigerator open. Even better, he and budgie are besties! The sniff and groom and try to eat each others food!
