Battle of the Books

 Ok! I know I haven't blogged in a loooooong time, but I figured I should do it again. In case you forgot I am LIV not OLIVE (Though I don't REALLY care it would still be nice if you called me Liv.) and yeah! this is my blog and I'm about to tell you about a thing we so in school: Battle of the Books.



It is a competition we do. You read the books then at the end you answer questions about them. My team was the Hermione Grangers 2.0 because last year, in fourth grade, I had the EXACT SAME TEAM! So it was only fitting to be the Hermione Grangers again! Last year we got second place! This year we did really good too. as of today, we have been eliminated. We got third place out of fourteen teams. I read all the books too! I did the best I could. Since we got third place I will get a prize! Each member of our team gets one of the Battle of the Books that we read! They will be signed with a personal note by the librarian. If you have any questions, just leave a comment!

My Brand New Ball

 Yesterday we went shopping at 5 below. While I was browsing one of the aisles, and it's vast collection of items, my eyes fell upon a small rectangular cardboard box. I then stood on the tops of my toes and saw it. It was a basket of balls. Mostly yellow ones. There was also one black and pink one. But I scarcely saw them. I only had eyes for one ball. This ball was perfect! It was half blue, but the blueish greenish sort of way. The other half was a bright springy yellow. The ball smelled amazing! Interview with Megan Kerr

  All about Megan G. Kerr By: Liv Liv: What's your favorite color? Megan: Purple. Liv: Why did you start teaching gifted? Megan: I enjoyed doing the activities when I was in the gifted program myself elementary school. I also liked coming up with enrichment ideas for my students when I taught second grade.  And I had a lot of fun substituting teaching in gifted classrooms.  So when Mrs. Leftwich asked me if I wanted to teach gifted kids with her, I was excited at the possibility.  It seemed like my dream job.  I had to take college courses anyway to renew my teaching license.  So I decided to interview for the gifted job and commit to taking college classes in gifted education to get certified.  And the rest is history.
