Camp Wood

 Hannah and I went to a sleep away camp for a week the camp was called Camp Wood we slept in cabins except for one night when we hiked slept and were woken up way to early in the morning. I hiked about a mile and slept in horse poop. There was a tarp but we had to go shoulders up! And even if you moved 5 feet you would still be in it! I didn’t sleep at all that night so I was up at 4 am when they made us hike back, take showers, and get about 2 hours of sleep before flagpole. I was so tired. But other than that it was fun. Here are some pictures.

    What a fun week! When we picked you up one of your teens commented on what an awesome kiddo you are. She was really busy trying to check everyone out so you must have made an impression. :)

My Brand New Ball

 Yesterday we went shopping at 5 below. While I was browsing one of the aisles, and it's vast collection of items, my eyes fell upon a small rectangular cardboard box. I then stood on the tops of my toes and saw it. It was a basket of balls. Mostly yellow ones. There was also one black and pink one. But I scarcely saw them. I only had eyes for one ball. This ball was perfect! It was half blue, but the blueish greenish sort of way. The other half was a bright springy yellow. The ball smelled amazing! It smelled of a spring breeze blowing past the top of a mountain. But that was far from the best part! The ball was soft as silk and seemed to nestle in my palms. Then I dropped it. It fell down on the ground making an oddly satisfying sound. Then it bounced up right into my hands! At that moment I knew that I was going to get that ball.   All about Megan G. Kerr By: Liv Liv: What's your favorite color? Megan: Purple. Liv: Why did you start teaching gifted? Megan: I enjoyed doing the activities when I was in the gifted program myself elementary school. I also liked coming up with enrichment ideas for my students when I taught second grade.  And I had a lot of fun substituting teaching in gifted classrooms.  So when Mrs. Leftwich asked me if I wanted to teach gifted kids with her, I was excited at the possibility.  It seemed like my dream job.  I had to take college courses anyway to renew my teaching license.  So I decided to interview for the gifted job and commit to taking college classes in gifted education to get certified.  And the rest is history.
